Welcome to the Carry 117 Donation page!
Your support is crucial in helping us make a lasting impact in the lives of vulnerable women and children. With your generous contribution, we can continue our mission to empower, educate, and equip individuals for a better future. Choose from five different areas to direct your donation and help us create positive change:
1. Capital Campaign:

2. Emergency Fund:
Sometimes, urgent needs arise that require immediate attention. Your donation to our emergency fund ensures that we can meet the critical needs of individuals in real-time. This could be anything from providing immediate job opportunities to purchasing essential equipment like generators or sewing machines. Together, we can make a difference when unexpected difficulties arise.
3. Outreach Fund:
At Carry 117, we believe in the power of community and giving back. Our outreach fund allows us to conduct monthly initiatives aimed at serving our community. Whether it's providing meals to those in need or using our resources to support the community during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic, your donation helps us extend our reach and spread positivity.
4. Medical Fund:
Several of our dedicated employees are battling lifelong health issues that require additional medical care beyond what their benefits cover. By donating to our medical fund, you provide essential support for critical scans, testing, and treatments. Your contribution will directly impact the well-being and quality of life of these individuals striving to create a better future.
5. Special Projects:
If you have discussed a specific project with us offline, this is where you can select to contribute. Your designated gift will help us realize those agreed-upon initiatives and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve. Together, we can accomplish extraordinary things!
6. IN HONOR OF CHARLIE KUMPF:
Since the very beginning of Carry 117, Charlie Kumpf has been dedicated to serving the organization. He served in Ethiopia, Maryland, and Atlanta by training our woodworking team, serving at Carry 117 events and creating custom badges and signs. Even throughout his cancer journey, he found ways to continue the work he was so passionate about. Charlie's impact on Carry 117 is endless. The entire Carry 117 staff and volunteer teams will miss Charlie dearly and will continue to further the mission and vision of Carry 117 in his honor.
Thank you for considering a donation to Carry 117. Your generosity fuels our efforts and brings hope to those who need it most. LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR CAPITAL CAMPAIGN:
In our almost nine years as an organization, we have hired and trained 59+ women, sewn thousands of bags, BUT we have also called six different places “home.”
Temporarily living in the tension between landlords doubling our rent without notice, compounds being torn down, outgrowing our space, and wasting money on moving (again), we are so excited to be moving into the chapter of our story where we get to build a custom compound to hold our bulky sewing machines, and a place that can hold all of our dreams.
In August 2022, thanks to a generous donor, we officially purchased a piece of land in Korah (cue the tears and confetti)!
We hope to break ground at the end of 2023, but we can’t build without your help! We need to raise $200,000 total to build a compound large enough for our projected growth.
Phase One of the Capital Campaign requires $30,000 to begin. This will allow us to have our building designed by an expert, and break ground to begin the foundation.
