Yaboo Lanyard & ID Wallet [Work of God]
The Yaboo Lanyard is one of our NEW PRODUCTS from the Fall 2019 line. We are so excited to bring you something new!
“Yaboo is the son of Carry 117’s supervisor, Medi. His real name is Yabsira but his nickname is Yaboo. Yaboo LOVES school. He works really hard and is typically academically ranked first in his class. Yaboo’s wish when he grows up is to be a boss like Heni. You can definitely see that goal and dream playing out already at the compound with the other kids. He makes the rules at the compound and has all the kids following him, no matter what the “rules” are. It is very entertaining.”

Yaboo says,“I love that this was named after me because I heard it is used for school and I love school. My favorite thing about school is taking tests. I placed first in my class this year. I am proud of my mom, Medi, because she is sewing and she always said she wanted to learn how. And now she is the boss, and I want to be a boss one day too.”

Yaboo’s name (Yabsira) means “Work of God” in Ethiopia. Yaboo LOVES to work, which is very fitting for his name. The lanyard comes in chestnut leather, gray leather, and green cotton canvas. The lanyard measures 19" long.The ID wallet zips closed and has two main compartments. The ID portion is 5.5" x 3.5".The front cutout is covered with clear plastic so you are able to see the ID through it.You can detach the strap from the ID wallet.Made with premium Ethiopia leather or cotton.Handmade by the women of Carry 117 in Ethiopia.
